A Bit About Me
Growing up in a country without freedom of expression is what inspires me to write about inequality in the modern world with the hopes of creating positive change in society as a journalist.
My reporting interests include mental-health, social injustice, politics, diverse communities, fashion and investigative journalism. I have had the privilege of interviewing diverse people in Canada for my story about Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women. I have also had the honor to report from Toronto City Hall during a press conference held by Toronto’s Mayor John Tory for gun violence. I have also interviewed professional people in the field of journalism for my story about the decline of newspapers. My sources include Rob Roberts, Kathy English and Jim Coyle.

My learning lessons and accomplishments from my time at Humber’s Advanced Diploma and Bachelor’s Degree has taught me to not take no as an answer and to never underestimate the power of data-driven research, voices in local communities and cultural dissemination.

My core principles of being a journalists is to follow professional media ethics put in place to convey accuracy, verification and integrity.
